Terms of Service
Last updated: January 31, 2026
Welcome to testsmail. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the testsmail website, disposable and private email inboxes, developer API, and related tools (collectively, the "Service"). Please read them carefullyโby using the Service, you agree to everything below.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using testsmail, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. By using testsmail, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you will comply with all applicable laws when using the Service.
3. Description of Service
testsmail provides temporary, disposable email addresses, optional account-based private inboxes, email forwarding, a developer API, and a collection of free online utilities. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, and email messages may be deleted automatically after a temporary period.
4. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct
You agree to use the Service lawfully and responsibly. You must not:
- Use the Service for spamming, phishing, fraud, harassment, or distributing malware.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' inboxes, accounts, or our systems.
- Use the Service to register for, or facilitate, illegal activity or to evade bans, sanctions, or law enforcement.
- Overload, scrape, or abuse the Service or API beyond reasonable limits, or circumvent our rate limiting and security measures.
- Use the Service to receive content you are not legally entitled to, or to infringe anyone's intellectual property.
Any misuse may result in immediate suspension or termination of your access and, where appropriate, reporting to the relevant authorities.
5. Accounts & Security
Some features (such as private inboxes, forwarding, and the developer API) require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and API keys, and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account or API key has been compromised, rotate the key and contact us immediately.
6. Public vs. Private Inboxes
Public disposable inboxes can be accessed by anyone who knows the inbox name. They are intended for casual, non-sensitive use such as one-off sign-ups. Do not use a public inbox to receive passwords, financial information, or any confidential data. For private, account-bound mail, use Private Mode, which restricts access to your authenticated account.
7. Intellectual Property
The testsmail name, logo, website, software, and tools are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding without prior written permission. Content you receive through the Service belongs to its respective owners.
8. Third-Party Services & Advertising
The Service displays advertising (including via Google AdSense) and may rely on third-party providers for analytics and infrastructure. Your interactions with advertisers or third-party sites are solely between you and that third party, and are governed by their terms and privacy policies. See our Cookies Policy for details on advertising cookies.
9. Privacy and Data
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it carefully to understand how we handle your information: Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, reliability, or uninterrupted availability. We do not guarantee that any message will be delivered, retained, or available, so you should not rely on the Service for critical or time-sensitive communications.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, testsmail shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use of, or inability to use, the Serviceโincluding loss of data, lost messages, or communication failuresโeven if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law & Severability
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of our operating jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law principles. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
